The Wimshurst's Machine: Music/Musica
Porsenna
(The Wimshurst's Machine)
D.Chiarle
This is a guitar and flute track with ancient flavors, almost new ageish in the "progressive electronica" meaning of the word. Porsenna was a Lucumone (king) of Etrusks, during the early wars that seen those people fight with ancient Romans for the domain of Italy. He became "famous" mostly cause of the romans who sent Caio Muzio Scevola (real name Caio Muzio Cordo, where "scevola" means "left-handed") to kill him (see "lyrics" for the full story). While generally history represents Romans as dominators, is also true they melted with the Etrusc civilization and that were mostly influenced by it (2 of the 7 kings of Rome's the early days where, as a matter of fact, Etrusks).
